J.R. Hughto / Director, Writer, Producer
J.R. Hughto is a director, producer, and photographer based in Los Angeles. Born in rural upstate New York to two internationally renowned painters, Hughto was raised outside the art center but inside the art world. His films and photography explore duality, principally the friction between nostalgia/modernity and documentary/lyricism. As a producer, Hughto has screened films internationally including at the Los Angeles Film Festival (2008), the Viennale (2005), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (2003), and the International Boxing Hall of Fame (2003). His photography has appeared in print in the German edition of Wired Magazine (Issue 01, 2012), and has shown in Los Angeles (2009, 2010), San Diego (2010), Syracuse (2014) and Buffalo, NY (2012). In addition to producing and directing, Hughto consults as an independent Digital Cinema Workflow Specialist, fostering innovative, low-cost filmmaking practices. He currently works as a Director of Production at Trailer Park, Hollywood, and teaches filmmaking at UCLA.

Apolonia Panagopoulos / Editor
Apolonia Panagopoulos is a Los Angeles based editor and filmmaker whose work has screened internationally, including at the Viennale (2005), SXSW (2010), Palm Springs (2010), and Newport Beach (2012) film festivals. Her work spans narrative, documentary, and commercial practice including short and feature films and television. She currently works at Trailer Park, a creative agency in Hollywood, where her recent projects include promotional and home entertainment content for films such as Prometheus and Arbitrage, as well as the television series Weeds. She is married to director J.R. Hughto and makes a mean peach cobbler.

Ki Jin Kim / DP
Ki Jin Kim is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and producer living and working in Los Angeles. Ki Jin has directed and shot numerous films, including the documentary Who Are You? which was selected as the closing film for the 2003 Indieforum Film Festival in Seoul, Korea. His films have screened at Sundance, Rotterdam, REDCAT, SXSW, and the Amiens International Film Festival.

Ugo Derouard / Sound Design
Ugo Derouard is the founder of Ugosound Studios. Originally from France, Ugo is a Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor who has been working in Hollywood since 2007 on narrative and documentary films, television, and commercials. He has received several Nominations and Awards, including the Peabodies in 2007 and the Action In Film International Film Festival in 2009 and 2010. Ugo’s work has been featured at the international convention “The Week-End of Horrors” in Los Angeles and at the Sundance Film Festival 2012 for the film The End of Love featuring Mark Webber & Michael Cera, which was nominated for Best U.S. Drama.

Daniel McGilvray / Producer
As an independent film producer McGilvray has shown work at festivals nationally and sold films to both national and international distribution. His projects include short films The Silence (2009) and Devil's Creek (2009) as well as the feature film The End Of Love (2012), which played in narrative competition at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and will see theatrical release in March of 2013. As a veteran to feature film post-production, McGilvray has supervised and advised on various aspects of post-production for both independent and studio films. He has worked with Dreamworks, Sony Pictures Classics, Spyglass, Miramax, Annapurna, Legendary, Warner Bros, and Marvel Studios, among others. McGilvray splits his time between Los Angeles, where he works, and Santa Cruz, CA, where he is raising his young children- neither of whom are afraid of sharks.

Norbert Shieh / Camera Operator/Additional Photography
Norbert Shieh is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker & cinematographer. His films have screened internationally in festivals and venues such as the New York Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, REDCAT, Antimatter Film Festival, Vancouver Asian Film Festival and the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. In addition, Shieh has shot more than thirty films as a director of photography; these projects have been exhibited in venues such as the LACMA, Anthology Film Archives, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris. Shieh is a 2012 Creative Capital Film/Video grantee for his upcoming feature-length project, PRESERVES, currently in development. He holds a BA in Visual Arts from University of California, San Diego and received an MFA in Film and Video at the California Institute of the Arts.

Lisa Roth / Casting Director
Lisa began her career working as an intern for Grand Royal, the Beastie Boys' record label. Soon she was casting her skateboarding and music industry friends in everything from Levi's print ad campaigns to Black Eyed Peas and Christina Aguilera music videos, to Emmy-nominated PSA's for MTV. Known for discovering talent, Lisa's background as a comedy writer, improv and sketch performer at some of Los Angeles's most prestigious theaters has consistently given her unique access to unknown and unrepresented talent. Over the years, Lisa’s unique eye, intuition, and ability to think outside the box, have made her a favorite with clients and directors.
